1st Character Questionnaire: “Broken Bones”

I don’t want to seem judgemental, but Fish is seriously good with an axe. He seems to enjoy using it…a lot. So I ask you:

1. Are you a murderer? If not, who died?

I have never killed a man in anger. I have killed in the name of the Great Spirit for transgressing the Old Ways many times. I killed some Erie warriors who tried to hunt on our lands. I killed the clan chief’s daughter for interrupting me during communion. I killed the Ghost that Swift Hawk replaced when he almost defiled a sacred stream. Many have rode my axe to the spirit world, but I have never murdered.

2. Before coming a ghost, what was your relationship with your clan?

Then, I had a different name. I was called Sees the Fox for my ability to notice and react to danger faster than anyone in the clan – by far. I led the warring parties and watched for large animals. I lived on the edge of the clan lands. I was respected by the clan, but many kept their distance from me in fear. I never took a wife. Women dull the senses. (I haven’t figured out whose decision that was yet.. maybe his, maybe no one wanted him? This may or may not be sour grapes.) When I became a ghost, only a few noticed I was gone.

3. What happened between you and Red Dog (since you’re in the same clan)? It doesn’t have to be antagonistic, but there is some shared event. What is it?

Red Dog was a powerful warrior when we fought together. With him in our clan, no enemy could step foot in our lands. That is why Black Crow came for him directly the day he died. I could not catch Black Crow, but I sent his braves to the Great Spirit for their transgression. When he came back, he was different. I respect his strength of spirit, but I no longer understand his ways.
